About Quain
Hello there! My name is Quain, and...
... I'm a professional game writer and author focused on writing standalone stories that feature real characters in fantastical settings. I have degrees in both Creative Writing and Game Design, and have been writing professionally since 2019.
I'm a pretty easy-going guy. I like making people laugh, spending time with my family, and getting lost in other people's minds; whether that's with books, video games, music, or anything in between.
If you're wondering where to start with my work, I'd recommend checking out my Roll 4 Fiction stories I publish right here on my website. Episode 4: Return to the Skies, and Episode 6: The Rising Monarch, are some of my favorites so far. If you're looking for something a little longer, I'd recommend King Maker.
If you want longer than that, well... I'm afraid you'll just have to wait until I finish my first novel.

I don't believe art should be kept behind a paywall, so I publish many of my writings under a Creative Commons CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license. This means they're usually available to read and share for free.
My Stance on AI
While I experimented with generative AI when it first became available, I found it hindered my creativity. I think it can be a valuable tool, but not one I will ever use in any of my creative writings.
What I'm Currently Writing
I just published King Maker, and am working on my next book, A Cure for Gods, which I expect to have finished by the end of 2026.
